Counts
Private by design. This tool runs entirely in your browser β nothing you enter or add is uploaded to any server.
How it works
- Paste the original JSON on the left and the updated JSON on the right.
- Press Compare JSON. Both sides must be valid JSON values.
- Read added, removed and changed paths. Array indexes are included in the path.
Examples
- Adding a role field reports role as added.
- Changing name from Ada to Ada Lovelace reports name as changed.
- Removing id reports id as removed.
Frequently asked questions
Does key order count as a change?
No. Object key order is ignored. Only presence and JSON values are compared.
How are arrays compared?
Arrays are compared by index. A longer array reports extra indexes as added.
Is the JSON sent to a server?
No. Parsing and comparison run locally after the page loads.
