Summary

Private by design. This tool runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter or add is uploaded to any server.

How it works

  1. Click the upload area or drag a PDF onto it — the file is read locally and its page count appears straight away.
  2. Choose a mode and, if needed, type the pages you want, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10.
  3. Press Split PDF — a single PDF downloads directly, and several files arrive together in one ZIP.

Examples

  • Extract pages 3-5 of a long report to share just one chapter.
  • Split a scanned bundle into separate documents with ranges like 1-2, 3-6, 7-9.
  • Turn every page of a presentation handout into its own PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The file is processed entirely in your browser with a local PDF library, so it never leaves your device and nothing is stored or logged.

How do I write the page ranges?

Use page numbers and ranges separated by commas, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. A range ending in a dash, like 7-, runs from that page to the end of the document.

What is the difference between the three modes?

Extract pages gathers all the pages you list into one new PDF. Split each range creates a separate PDF for every range you list. Split every page makes one PDF per page and ignores the Pages box.

Why do I get a ZIP file?

When the result is more than one PDF, the files are bundled into a single ZIP so your browser can download everything in one step. A single result downloads directly as a PDF.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Encrypted or password-protected PDFs can't be split directly. Remove the password in your PDF viewer first, then add the file again.
