🧰 Free Online Screen Recorder — No Install, No Watermark
Desktop browsers only: phones and tablets cannot record the screen from a web page, so use your device’s built-in recorder there. On a computer you can capture your whole screen, a window or one browser tab, with optional microphone or tab audio, then preview and download the video. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
- On a computer, choose your audio, quality and format, then press Start recording and pick a screen, window or browser tab in the prompt your browser shows.
- Record as long as you like — use Pause and Resume if you need a break, then press Stop & save (or use your browser’s Stop sharing button).
- Preview the video in the page and press Download recording to save it to your device.
Examples
- Record a quick tutorial or walkthrough to send to a colleague or customer.
- Capture a bug on screen, with your voice explaining what went wrong, to attach to a report.
- Save a short clip of a presentation, demo or online class for your own notes.
Frequently asked questions
Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No. The recording is created by your browser and kept on your device. It is never sent to a server, and nothing is stored or logged.
Can I record my screen on Android or iPhone?
Not from a web page — phone and tablet browsers do not allow it. Use the built-in recorder instead: the Screen record tile in Android Quick Settings, or Screen Recording in iPhone Control Center. This tool works in desktop Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
Can I record sound from my computer?
Browser tab audio works in Chrome and Edge when you tick the Share audio box in the picker. Whole-system audio is only offered on Windows. On other setups, record tab audio or use your microphone.
Is there a time limit or watermark?
There is no watermark and no fixed time limit. The recording is held in memory until you stop, so very long high-quality sessions can use a lot of memory — choose the Small file quality for long recordings.
Why is my file a WebM, and can I get an MP4?
WebM is the format most browsers can record. If your browser supports MP4 recording (recent Chrome, Edge and Safari), choose MP4 for wider compatibility with editors and phones.
