Frequently asked questions
Why do curly quotes cause bugs?
Code, CSV and some search tools expect ASCII quotes. A curly quote looks similar but is a different character, so strings and formulas fail to match.
Will this change accented letters?
No. Letters such as é stay as they are. Only quote, dash and selected invisible-space characters are rewritten.
Is the text uploaded?
No. Replacement runs in the browser and nothing is stored.
