How it works
- Enter an integer and pick the base you typed it in.
- Press Convert. Optional 0b, 0o and 0x prefixes are stripped when they match the selected base.
- Read binary, octal, decimal and hex forms of the same value.
Examples
- Decimal 255 is binary 11111111, octal 377 and hex FF.
- Hex 0x10 in the hexadecimal base is decimal 16.
- A digit that does not belong in the chosen base is rejected.
Frequently asked questions
How large can the number be?
Values are handled as JavaScript BigInt, so they are not limited to 32-bit integers. Very long inputs still work.
Are negative numbers supported?
Yes. A leading minus is kept and applied to every output base.
Does this call a server?
No. Parsing and conversion stay in the browser.
